Marie Eleanor Brite Foster, 91, of Kaimuki, Oahu, died Feb. 6 at a private care home in Mountain View. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired human resources manager , an assistant vice president for the former First Federal Savings & Loan and member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Honolulu, Zonta International and Toastmistress International. Celebration of life 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Diamond Head Memorial Park Chapel in Honolulu. Survived by daughters, Colleen Foster of Stockton and Sharon (Russ) Testo of Stockton, Calif., Elizabeth (Hutch) Palmer of Kaimuki; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Marjorie Yoshiko Isemoto, 89, of Hilo died Feb. 7 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Wood Valley, Kapapala, Ka‘u, she was a retired account clerk for the former C. Brewer HT & T and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Hilo Hongwanji Fujinkai (Buddhist Women’s Association), Hilo Hongwanji Hoyukai, Lehua Bowling League and Thursday P.M. Parks & Recreation Senior Bowling League. Visitation 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 3 p.m. Casual attire. Beverly Jane Kalauli, 67, of Hilo died Feb. 7 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Haina, Honokaa, she was a retired school bus aide for Roberts Hawaii and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Francis Kalei Laimana, 78, of Waimanalo, Oahu, formerly of Hilo, died Jan 27 in Honolulu. Born in Honolulu, he was a Greyhound bus driver. Visitation 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14 at St. George Catholic Church in Waimanalo. Mass at 11:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Aloha attire; no flowers. Shizue Ono, 79, of Ahualoa died Jan. 24 at home. Born in Kukaiau, she was a retired cashier for the former T. Kaneshiro Store in Honokaa and member of Honokaa Hongwanji Mission, Buddhist Women’s Association and Ahualoa Kumiai. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Casual attire.
